Start with the fixturing

The Meta-XY comes with a huge t-slot table that’s built for attaching jigs and fixtures. The laser can mark anywhere across that table, so you can mark as many products as you can fit!

Measure from the centre of the t-slot table and mark the positions of your fixtures. Easily put those measurements into LotusMark, our bespoke software, and you’ll be laser engraving those exact products at the push of a single button.

Make sure your fixtures are labelled though! LotusMark has controls for how many products you want to mark, so it’s important your operator knows which fixtures to load up first.

How does the software power the laser automation?

Inside LotusMark, you’ll see your work area displayed as a rectangle. You can position your artwork inside that rectangle, positioning it to mark onto your fixtures.

The object properties, where you can position artwork with millimetre precision, are found on the left. Select your artwork type in the measurements – and you’re done.

On the right, set the power parameters. Each individual part can have different parameters: when we showed this machine at MACH 2026, we were marking four different products, all with different parameters, in one go!

Want to double check you set it up right? Run the Trace function and your laser will index across to your part and with a red bounding box show you exactly where it will mark, for complete peace of mind.

What about curved or complex surfaces? Meta-XY marks in 3D.

The Meta-XY can mark on curved and uneven parts across the entire work area. There’s no rotary needed for a cylindrical part. The True 3D Engraving technology lives inside the laser scanhead itself, dynamically changing the focus on the fly and leaving a perfect mark across the entire surface.

Instead of manually loading a rotary and waiting for it to finish marking before you can continue, all of your products can be marked in one go, even if they’re 3D.

Import your 3D file or even create one in the LotusMark software, grab your artwork, and click ‘Wrap XY’. And that’s it. It’s ready to mark bottles, glasses, components – anything non-flat can be engraved.

The Meta-XY marks variable data in a couple of clicks.

Not all of your products may need the same mark. If you’re marking serial numbers on your components, adding QR codes for traceability, or personalising bottles for gifts and keepsakes, you need to automate the data as well as the marking.

So, within LotusMark, you can link a spreadsheet or even an SQL Database and have your data pull through automatically and mark straight onto your products. Every time you push that green button, your next part number will be laser engraved with zero risk of human error.
