Although we have been exclusively working with lasers since 1994 the Lotus Laser System brand was not launched until early in 2006. Our brand strategy has been very carefully planned.
The first 3 years were spent designing the systems that you can see at this web site. The following 3 years we concentrated our efforts to install machines specifically within the UK to gain feedback from users across several different market sectors. This helped us to refine the designs of the machines you see today at this web site.
In January 2012 we were confident that all four designs of the 1µm Meta fiber laser marking machines were finalised. Having reached this target we rolled-out the brand for sale on a global basis. Therefore, while the technology is mature the brand on a global basis is young.
When selecting a distributor we look for more than just a short term sales partner. High quality service and support is vital to the success of our brand. Partners with the ability to combine good sales and good support for laser systems are not easy to find so it will therefore most likely take a considerable time for us to find, evaluate, appoint and train representatives to all of the territories we seek a presence within.
